Building Pathways. Removing barriers. Creating second chances that last.

ABOUT US

Hub for Integration, Reentry & Employment (HIRE) is Orange County’s only organization solely dedicated to supporting people with getting employed as they reenter the community after incarceration—without age or conviction restrictions. We work alongside clients to remove barriers, open doors to meaningful employment, and connect them with the resources needed to thrive.

OUR STORY

From crisis response
to lasting change.

During the pandemic, thousands were released early from incarceration with little to no support. Founder Meghan Medlin saw the need for a single place in Orange County to connect people with services and employment.

We serve as a direct service provider and collaborative hub, linking employers, service providers, and agencies. Our mission: treat each person with dignity, remove barriers, and create equal opportunities.

We’re expanding with County of Orange OC Cares to open the county’s first Reentry Workforce Training Facility in 2028. This center will bring together training, housing, and retail space—a true launchpad for reentry success.

Our mission

To maximize the skills and opportunities for formerly incarcerated and system-involved youth and adults in Orange County through employment, mentorship, and community building.

Our vision

A unified Orange County where gaps in social, political, and economic opportunities are eliminated for formerly incarcerated and system-involved youth and adults.
